Equipment padel

Au padel, you need a pala, balls, a field and 4 days. And GO!

What we can do or not do

We do not have the right to play directly to the window of my opponent.

We do not have the right to play directly to the fence on my side as my opponent.

The ball must imperatively bounce on the field before banging the fence or the glass of my opponent.

We have the right to only one rebound on the ground, even after a rebound on the grid or the glass.

If the ball bounces a second time on the ground after touching the fence or glass, the ball is foul.

Warning to padel, on the other hand, we have the right to hit the wall (back or side) of our field.

But we are not allowed to use the fence to send the ball back to the opponent.

Service at padel

Usually in tennis, we serve over the head, padel we engage from below, with a rebound behind the service line. The ball must then bounce off the service box diagonally.

Know how to count points

Points at padel can be counted in tennis:

  • 15 / 30 / 40 - GAME
  • Tie-break at 6 games everywhere.
  • 2 winning sets.

Note however that in France, according to the tournaments approved by the French Tennis Federation, the format of matches can evolve.
