There are many types of competitions in Padel in 2020. . The French Tennis Federation offers many updates in the competition guide updated in December 2019.

1) the French Senior Championships in pairs:

Every year, the FFT offers the French Seniors Championships in pairs of padel. Note that there are no individual championships because the padel is played at 2. Even if, in the end, in the classification, we have an individual classification.

  • a Double Seniors Women Championship
  • a Double Seniors Men's Championship

2) the French Inter-league Youth Championships by teams

A novelty for the FFT with the launch of the Youth Championships. The proof that the padel is developing in France;

  • an Inter-league Boys U14 / U16 / U18 Championship
  • an Inter-league Girls U14 / U16 / U18 Championship.

=> A team, male or female, is made up of 6 players:

2 players / his U14 + 2 players / his U16 + 2 players / his U18.

=> Each meeting includes 3 parts

3) Team Championships (interclub)

For now, the team championships are only organized by certain leagues. Each League issues its own regulations. There are no French interclub team championships

4) Tournaments

There are several types of approved tests possible:

- Senior Doubles Gentlemen

- Doubles Gentlemen +45

- Senior Ladies Doubles

- Double Ladies +45

- Senior Mixed Doubles

- Mixed Doubles +45

- Doubles Young Boys 11/12 years old

- Doubles Young Boys 13/14 years old

- Doubles Young boys 15/16 years

- Doubles Young Boys 17/18 years old

- Doubles Young Girls 11/12 years

- Doubles Young Girls 13/14 years

- Doubles Young Girls 15/16 years

- Doubles Young Girls 17/18 years

For 2020, the homologation tax for a tournament Padel, regardless of the age category, is € 26.

As a reminder, the age category of a player is calculated by subtracting the vintage of the sporting year from his year of birth.

Example: for the sports year 2020, which starts on 01/09/2019 and ends on 31/08/2020, a competitor “45 years and over” is a person born in 1975 or before.

Attention, within ADOC, the age categories do not exist in a computer, thank you kindly to be very precise in the wording of your tournament (age category).

There are several categories of tournaments, depending on points and prize money. No prize money can be given during the youth events (only prizes) distributed (cf. CDC Tournaments and Scales of points), from the weakest to the strongest:

  - P 25

- P 100

- P 250

- P 500

- P 1000

- P 2000

Whatever the type of event or the age category, the tournaments feed only one and the same classification Padel : the female classification for women / the male classification for men.

5) Sports packages

There are a multitude of possible formulas, or combinations of formulas for a competition of Padel (hens, hens + table with row start, hens + table with staggered entries, table with staggered entries, Multi Chances Tournament (TMC), hens followed by a TMC etc.).

Also, all pairs will be ranked according to their rank obtained at the end of the Tournament.

Whatever the sports formula chosen, a minimum of 3 matches must be scheduled for each pair.
