Vincent Clerc has found his new passion: padel. Present during the Human Padel open, the Top 14 try record holder (101) took part in the Cupra All Star Padel Ranges alongside the handball player Jerome Fernandez.

One thing is certain, the former Stade Toulousain player and now a consultant for the France Télévisions channel, has lost none of his dexterity and his love for sport. He is still as comfortable with the dives as you can see !

Padel Magazine : When did you discover the padel ? What did you like?

Vincent Clerk: "I discovered the padel a very long time ago thanks to Robin (Haziza). I was undergoing knee rehabilitation in Sophia-Antipolis at the time, and he was launching a first center of padel near Paris with Jeremy Toulalan and Olivier Giroud."

"During my convalescence, I started to play a little and I really hung. It is true that after ending my career, I wanted to find a fun activity where you can have fun while progressing quickly."

"I have always liked racket sports, I rather play squash, tennis and so suddenly that's it I became completely bitten. Now we have to find the time to progress because there are some who are playing really well.  In any case, I think I have found what I will be doing in the next few years."

Padel Magazine : Do you have a favorite teammate?

Vincent Clerk: "I love playing with Greg Lamboley, who was my roommate for 15 years in rugby. He plays a lot more than me, but reforming the pair we used to form in rugby would be ideal."

"A red and black pair and then we get along well, there is cohesion, it's nice to get together with friends, that's also the goal. The pace of life makes it difficult to see each other regularly, so if we can continue to meet frequently through sports, that's really great."

Padel Magazine : Cartman put the pressure on, a word to say to him?

Vincent Clerc "So frankly, given the level it's the only one I can beat I think, so I'm aiming everything in this match to humiliate him and end up with 0 wins (laughs). "

Done, Vincent and Jérôme inflicted a 6/0 on Cartman and Florent Dasque, but it should be noted that the comedian still won a match!

Vincent Gallie

A fan of oval football, round ball but also racket sports, he was stung by the padel during his adolescence in Galicia. As comfortable in front of the camera as behind a microphone, Vince will be able to bring his vision and expertise as a fan of the little yellow ball.
