The Federation has made the decision to diversify by taking beach tennis and tennis under its wing. padel. First of all, following the declaration of the president of the Federation Bernard Giudicelli, the Federation decided to award, according to the site “ padelmagazine[1] », 4 million grants to tennis clubs affiliated to the Federation wishing to develop the practice of padel. This subsidy does not apply to private structures. In addition, some tennis leagues also have the desire to develop the padel and allocates up to 5 euros in aid to a club for the construction of a padel.

The French Tennis Federation has put in place several levers for the structuring of the padel. The site " padelmagazine[2] »Highlights that the federation is trying to set up an easier classification system for licensees in tennis practices, padel and beach tennis. Each license will be nominative, and each licensee can have a classification in each of these three practices.

She tries to structure the padel also through competitions. It has implemented a tournament homologation system. The article "The French tennis federation and the padel[3] »Explains how to approve a tournament. All fields of padel in tennis clubs affiliated to the Federation, are automatically part of the FFT- networkpadel. Thus, their fields can be approved and host competitions recognized by the Federation. Regarding private structures, it has set up an “authorization” system which also allows them to approve tournaments.

However, she still has a certain delay regarding diplomas. Currently, only BE tennis can teach the padel. Currently there is only one kind of "teaching padel ". The site " padelmagazine[4] »Highlights two problems: a BE tennis does not necessarily provide the skills to teach tennis. padel, and the second reflection revolves around the teachers of padel who do not have a tennis diploma. Reflections are thus still in progress, and this shows that the structuring of the padel is still in progress.
