One of the first big shocks from the  2021 season  du World Padel Tour kept all of its promises. In Madrid, the number 1 and multi-titled pair last season saw their tournament stop earlier than expected!

Indeed,  Juan   Lebron and Ale Galan  found themselves facing a wall during this quarter-final of the Adeslas Madrid Open! A named wall  Franco Stupaczuk / Alex Ruiz .

Yet the game seemed well underway and it was not clear what could prevent Galan and Lebron from rushing to victory after winning the first set 6/4.

But Stupa and Ruiz did not let themselves be defeated, they had their backs rounded, and above all they knew how to raise their level  in important points.  The Argentinian and the Spaniard did not shake when it came time to conclude and ended up winning the second set 6/4 in their turn.

Hanging on by opponents who do not let go, Ale and Juan begin to rush. Franco and Alex do not slow down to finally win the meeting  4/6 6/4 6/1 . An exceptional performance for these two men who are competing in their first WPT together. The stat of the match is undoubtedly that of the “puntos de oro”, with a scathing  7-0  for Carlos Pozzoni players…

 For the first time, the Galan / Lebron pair bow   before the semi-finals of a tournament!  It is to say the exploit which was carried out today by Stupa and Ruiz. They will still have a very big game to play tomorrow, against another new pair that impressed today: Tapia / Lima! We salivate in advance.
