Semi-finalists at the FIP Gold in Milan, Benjamin Tison and Teo Zapata started with a victory today in the first round of the previas of the World Padel Tour Malmo Open.

Opposed to Argentines Godo Diaz (108) and Nicolas Suescun (88), Ben Tison and Teo Zapata managed to get by for their entry into contention in this Malmö Open.

Faced with two very experienced players who arrived pumped up after two easy victories in preprevia, the Frenchman and his partner were cold picked.

Dominated in the first round and throughout the beginning of the second, they still managed to find the resources to return to the game. They finally offer a victory to the mind (3/6 6/4 6/4) and continue their journey in the competition.

For their last tournament of the season on the WPT (they did not qualify for the Buenos Aires Master and the Mexico Open), Ben and Teo dream of a second main draw in 2021. For that they will have to string together two victories tomorrow. !

It begins at 10:00 am, with a clash with Mario Del Castillo (57) and Antonio Luque (66) in the second round of the previas of this Swedish Open. An obviously difficult match but nothing impossible for the Franco-Spanish pair who proved in Milan that they were quite capable of beating better ranked players!
