We will have two European Championships of Padel 2019, and they will take place on the same date from November 3 to 9. It's an incredible thing and yet it will indeed happen this year, unless there is a turnaround.

On the one hand, there will be the European Championship of Padel organized by the International Federation of Padel which will take place in Italy.

On the other hand, in Portugal, the European Championship of Padel organized by the European Association of Padel.

Will nations send teams to these two championships? Will some nations boycott one of these European championships?

We know: France and Italy have already indicated that they will participate only in the European Championships of padel organized by the FIP. On the other hand, the other nations remained discreet about their choice.

Is it good for our sport to have these two competitions at the same time? No. And besides, how can we take ourselves seriously when we see that our institutions cannot come to an agreement. Can this type of aberration have an impact on the ambition to see the padel at the Paris Olympics? Difficult to answer, but we are sure of one thing: This type of disagreement does not help the padel.
