From next January 21 to 23 will take place in Gothenburg on Betsson Showdown. A tournament reserved exclusively for female players and organized by Studio Padel.
After having already organized a tournament of this type for gentlemen last October (bringing together players from the WPT and the APT padel Tour), this time, Studio Padel gives pride of place to women.
This ambitious tournament will bring together the best Swedish players, who will be associated with WPT players, to form new pairs !
But that's not all, this tournament in addition to bringing together phenomenal players, will benefit from a exceptional prize-money: 20.000 euros !
The pairs will be as follows:
Maria Del Carmen Villalba and Ida Jarlskog
Emmie Ekdahl and Carolina Navarro Bjork
Nela Brito and Amanda Girdo
Raquel Piltcher and Rebecca Nielsen
Asa Eriksson and Noa Canovas Paredes
Anna Akerberg and Veronica Virseda
Ajla Behram and Lorena Rufo
Sandra Ortevall and Nuria Rodriguez
Helena Wyckaert and Matilda Hamlin
Sara Pujals and Baharak Soleymani
Antonette Andersson and Ariadna Canellas
Smilla Lundgren and Marta Talavan
Very beautiful people will be expected at the rendezvous! And this programming seems to satisfy Frederik Nordin (Studio Padel): "I worked 24 hours a day to make this happen […]. A few days ago, I didn't think we were going to make it. We have gone from a hopeless situation to a tournament that promises to be extremely interesting "
The competition will take place in Frihamnen, Gothenburg , which can accommodate 250 people per day , including VIP seats. Moreover, it is important to specify that a “corona” pass will be applied for spectators !
Passionate about football, I discovered padel in 2019. Since then, I have been crazy in love with this sport to the point of abandoning my favorite sport.
