Only the kings of A1 finals Padel could end their story. In a match lasting more than two hours, Franco Dal Bianco and Maxi Arce win their fifth title of the season by beating Fede Mouriño and Ignacio Piotto 6/2, 4/6, 7/5 in this A1 final Padel Estepark Open. Mouriño and Piotto make history by becoming the first finalists from qualifying.

A perfect start for Franco and Maxi

From the start, Franco and Maxi clearly win in the first set against the first pair in the history of A1 Padel to reach the final by coming from the qualifications. After a series of breaks and counter-breaks, they take the lead 5-2 on the scoreboard. The youngsters fail to show the version that took them to the final during the first set and are outmatched by the number ones. Franco and Maxi win the first set by breaking the opposing service, 6/2.

“Mou” and Piotto return to the final

In the second round, “Mou” and Piotto show a different picture. Franco and Maxi start to doubt and get broken in the ninth game. 6/4 in favor of Mouriño / Piotto.

It will therefore be a 5th final in 3 sets since the start of the A1 season. Padel.

If in the first set it was the numbers one who dominated in the key moments, in the second those decisive moments were in favor of Piotto and Mouriño.

With one round on each side, the third set is a battle. Mouriño avoids the diagonals with Dal Bianco orienting in its parallel towards Arce.

Just like in the first set, there are breaks and unbreaks up to 6-5 in the last set in favor of the number 1 of the circuit. Fede and Nacho save several match points but it's not enough. When everything seems to indicate that the decision will be made in a breathless tie-break, Dal Bianco and Arce break the opposing service to win their fifth A1 crown Padel, 7 / 5.

With this victory, Arce and Dal Bianco win their fifth title out of seven tournaments played in 2023, and if we add their results from 2022, they total 12 titles out of 21 tournaments with only one final lost. Moreover, they won their fourth final of the year in three sets.
