A dream start to the season

“When we decided to get together with Arturo, we knew we could win a lot of tournaments but not so quickly. This start to the season has surprised us.”

“Last year I was number 1 in the Race for most of the first half of the season but this year I would like to have more consistency over the whole year.”

A perfect agreement with Coello

“Arturo is the player I had the hardest time playing against last season. I always saw him as a potential partner. In the first part of last season, things were going very well with Sanyo so I didn't really think about it.

“But then when the opportunity presented itself, I wanted to change roles as well, going from one who learns from a more experienced player to one who transmits something.”

“We get along so well that whenever one of us needs something, the other is there to give it to him. It is very important for me."

“Arturo Coello is an animal”

“I am a player who prefers attacking play. I've been training for a while to get better at defence. Today there was a change of mentality, now I'm not the one who has to win the point every time. Now I prepare the point to allow Arturo to attack. I play to allow my teammate to win the point. I'm much more comfortable in defense because I know I have an animal next to me who can get me out of many situations.

"We talked about it a lot with the coaches during pre-season to prepare our game, and I think today we are very well established."

“I had requested more hardness from Nox in the summer when my pala with 12K faces was softer. The 18K allows me to have a harder pala. I got used to it very well and now I use it all year round.”

“I love the Genius, I tested the Attack during three tournaments: we won two and I made a semi-final. But as I'm not used to diamond format racquets, I had pain in my shoulder, I went back to the Genius, it's my favorite!”

The Chile final: a fundamental moment

“I think what happened in Chile helped us a lot mentally. We were sure we had won, but due to mistakes that I think can happen to anyone, we had to continue this match that we had already won. I think that moment was very important because it made us stronger.”

No problem with Lebrón and Galán

“We talked about it with Lebrón and Galán, they asked us for forgiveness. I try to put myself in their shoes, I tell myself that I would have probably acted in a different way, but it's good that they asked us for forgiveness. It's no problem, these are things that happen, it's happened to me before, I just hope it will be the last time, for the good of the padel ! "
