Bastien Blanqué : “I know Carlos Pérez, who I have already played against, and who I already beat in Marbella last year. On the other hand, I don't know the player on the left (Emiliano Iriart) at all!”

Adrien Maigret: “For my part, I don't know either of the two players, it will be a total discovery on the field. We will try to adapt, and above all we are lucky to be coached by our France coach Pablo Ayma, who I think will give us the right instructions to try to win this match.

Bastien : “We played in the France team together during a match against Spain. We had rather a good match, we have games that complement each other well. Adri goes forward a lot, I like to defend and take my time. We did a preparatory tournament in Amsterdam last week, we lost in the first round in the draw but we had a big game against a big seed. We are good, we are confident and we play well together!”

Adrien : “We had some good warm-up matches on the side pitches. We played once on the central, we also had good feelings. We feel good together anyway!”

An atypical pair?

Adrien : “It is sure that we can create surprise. Especially since on the circuit the players don't know me very well, since I mainly play in France.

I can surprise with my aggressive game by going to the net a lot. But good Bastien is there to defend all the balls behind, it's his responsibility, I let him do the best he can.”

Bastien : “People know me because I've been on the circuit for quite a few years, but Adri doesn't play in all the tournaments on the circuit either and above all he normally plays on the left. So it's going to be very unusual. Adri will play his game thoroughly, I will defend everything and it will be very good like that. This will surprise!”
