Interview with the manager of the brand new sports complex dedicated to racket sports which has just opened in Castres on November 14: Charles Catalo,

The origin of the project

The idea came to me when I met Pierre Iskandar and Jean-Marc Wydasz, the leaders in the construction of padels turnkey in France. They had the idea of reconciling their two passions, padel and tennis.

They had the opportunity to take over a former large historic tennis club “Tennis du Vieux Cèdres” to open a real multi-racquet complex in Castres which subsequently corresponded to my desire to move closer to Castres for family reasons.

We also noted the lack of infrastructure for racket sports enthusiasts in the region. Our shared passion for racquet sports, and the idea of creating a place where people can play padel, squash, tennis, badminton and even pickleball has taken shape.

A unique situation

What appealed to us from the start was that we could enjoy two hectares of greenery with magnificent cedar trees surrounding the complex. We are five minutes from the city center and close to all amenities.

We have invested in diversified facilities. We have seven courts of padel panoramic views, four of which are covered so that players can enjoy this sport all year round. In addition, we have two squash courts, two clay tennis courts, two badminton courts and finally four pickleball courts, a popular sport in the United States.

We also have a large clubhouse with modern facilities for our members to relax after a game.

A place to live

Our goal is to create a place where people can come together, have fun and stay active. We offer activities for all levels and all ages: we will offer tournaments, activities, programs for young people to encourage them to get involved in sport from an early age... We firmly believe that sport can bring the community together and promote a healthy lifestyle.

Finally, I would like to encourage all racket sports enthusiasts to come and discover our complex. Whether you are a beginner or a professional, young or old, there is something for everyone. Our team is dedicated to providing an exceptional experience, and we look forward to welcoming you here to share our passion for racquet sports.
