If you padel is absent from the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, tracks will still appear at the Olympic Aquatic Center in Saint-Denis, the venue for the diving events, artistic swimming and water polo qualifications.

Located in the heart of the ZAC de la Plaine Saulnier, opposite the Stade de France, this structure of 20.000 m² and a height of 30 meters will see the light of day at the end of 2023. A project of 174,7 million euros intertwined between the A1 and the A86 also meets the needs of a department in need of swimming pools for its inhabitants (36 swimming pools for 1,6 million people in Seine-Saint-Denis).

After the Olympics, the building will therefore enter its “Heritage” phase, namely its opening to the general public in July 2025. However, the project stakeholders are concerned about accessibility and profitability for the town hall of Saint-Denis which has already reserved six future water lines for 380.000 euros. To avoid excessively high prices, she can count on the other activities offered at the CAO.

The general public will be able to discover the padel among other sports (Foot 5×5, Basket 3×3, Climbing,…) thanks to indoor tracks. They can even take advantage of a restaurant, aquatic areas and a solarium in the garden. The commercial operation phase of the structure will be managed by Récréa with the support of the Métropole du Grand Paris.
