The French Tennis Federation announces the cancellation of the French Championships of padel 2020 and the second edition of FFT PADEL TOUR 2020. Faced with the gravity of the situation, the FFT certainly made the right choice despite the disappointment.

Wise decision of the French Tennis Federation which therefore decides to cancel numerous tennis events, padel and beach tennis.

Concerning FFT PADEL TOUR, the Lille stage had already been cancelled. That of Metz, the first step in a public place was not yet officially, but the community of padel had already anticipated the elimination of this second stage.

The FFT, by its press release, prefers to allow players to padel to make arrangements for the cancellation of the main events of the year, namely the French championships of padel and FFT PADEL TOUR, the elite circuit of the FFT.

France 2020 championships canceled and not postponed

No French championships padel in 2020. The coronavirus has been there. The regional phases were to take place on June 27 and 28. A date difficult to maintain.

The final stages were to be played from September 25 to 27, during Roland Garros.

We must show solidarity with our Federation, our clubs, the players and all the organizations of padel impacted by this crisis.

However, admitting that the crisis is definitely behind us after next September, why not have left a door half-open for a postponement of the dates of the French Championships of padel 2020?

Le FFT PADEL TOUR, logically canceled

In 2020, we hoped to have 6 great stages with a Masters planned for next October. There too, there is nothing to say about the cancellation of the tests.

But one wonders if the Masters could nevertheless have been postponed?

The French Tennis Federation does not say all this out of gaiety. And probably has, much more at his disposal for having made a decision of such magnitude on the year 2020.

Good luck to everyone.
