FFT Padel Tour de Lyon – A special tournament

In 8 days, Spirit Padel will welcome the FFT Padel Tour LYON which will take place from 10 to 12 May 2019. A test of padel which is out of the ordinary because the cut to participate is particularly high.

The general level will be very high. As expected, Lyon is a stronghold of padel French. In addition, the region connects the north and the south. And to accentuate the whole thing: The internship of the France team takes place from May 8 to 10 at Esprit Padel. All the best French players will therefore be attending this event.

It is certainly the most successful tournament in the history of padel French, and it could have been more so.

Indeed, good players of the padel French have been put on hold for the moment because the cut to integrate the hens is around 350 points (cumulative points between the two players of a pair).

As stipulated by the Circuit regulations FFT Padel Tour, the competition is required to take only the top 36 pairs in the standings.

This means that for the moment, for example, the pair Mario Cordero / Michael Kusaj cannot enter the event. Rather surprising thing when we know the quality of this pair which in normal times is a pair which would have reached at least the hens.

Small disappointment also not to see the President of the Club de Esprit Padel, Sébastien Cornet, participate in his stage. In 11th and last position on the waiting list, he unfortunately has no chance with his partner Arnaud Chaffanjon to enter the pools.

This is to tell you the level of hens! To get out, it will have to be very strong.

In the ladies, it is also almost a victory, because not only the main draw is complete, but there will also be 2 hens!
