This weekend, take place the FIP Rise from Rocks Lane Chiswick in London and  FIP Rise from Gothenburg. State of play of the French on the two tournaments.

In London, it goes for the French

The conditions are special in this FIP Rise from Rocks Lane Chiswick in London. Indeed, the grounds are semi-covered, the sky is also overcast and the temperatures are around 10 degrees.

We were sure to see a 100% French pair qualify for the 1/8th finals. Opposed to Camille Sireix and Amélie Detrivière from qualifying, the Touly / Soubrié pair dictated their law to win 6/0 6/3. The tricolors will face in the next round the Spaniards Marta Gonzalez and Lala Alvarez, who fell for the seeded number 7.

It also goes for Wendy Barsotti. The French and the Swedish Baharak Soleymani, who makes up for Élodie Invernon's package, won in two sets against the British pair Deigman / Cairns, 6/1 6/3. They will face in 1/8th the seeded number 5: Carla Fernandez / Lucia Peralta.

Fiona Ligi and her Spanish teammate Nogueras got the better of Mélissa Martin and Clara Miret (ESP) with a win in two sets 7/5 6/2. In 1/8th, they will be opposed to the seeded number 3 Norton (GB)/Fernandez (POR).

Among the men, Maxime Joris and Baptiste Moura failed to climb into the final table following a cruel match. After having offered 6 match points, the French ended up losing 5/7 7/6 6/7. There will even be a tricolor in the 1/8th finals since Thomas Leygue and the Italian Marco Cassetta have made a success of their entry. The Franco-Italian duo ensured for its first tournament. Victory 6/3 7/6 against the Spanish pair Alonso / Suarez. Next match at 11 a.m. against the Portuguese duo Afonso Fazendeiro / Pedro Araujo.

Hecatomb in Sweden

It's a real slaughter for our French in Sweden. Among the men, there were 6 pairs with Frenchmen at the start of the FIP Rise in Gothenburg, none managed to qualify for the 1/8th. Julien Seurin and Ludo Cancel lost 6/0 6/4 against the Spanish-Swedish pair Rocafort/Vasquez. the Vanbauce/De Meyer and Blanque/Theard duos were discarded 6/3 6/2 and 6/4 6/2 respectively by the Spanish pairs Figuerola/Aromi (TS8) and Melero/Tur Checa (TS9).

Benjamin Grué and Philémon Raichmann could not do better against the Swedish pair Bonfré / Sterjn, defeat in two sets, 6/1 7/5. Adrien Maigret and the Belgian Jerôme Peeters, seeded number 6, were surprised by the pair Ask/Cebrian Groba, resulting from the qualifications. They bow in three sets 6/3 3/6 7/6. Indeed, Manuel Vives and Dylan Guichard also fell by the wayside against Medina / Appelgren. After winning the second set, the French pair lost in three sets 4/6 7/5 5/7.

It is obviously a disappointment for the French with this cascade of eliminations.
