When we see our sport,  Padel, becoming more democratic  to the point of ending up in a  popular newspaper  such as  GALA Journal , we can only be angels.

 David Beckham  allowed padel to do  several times around the world  on all continents when he appeared on a padel court with racket in hand in Miami.

We had relayed the information ourselves. Another international superstar who is getting into padel. This is obviously a very good thing for the image of our sport.

What is less so are the errors in the reporting of information, such as in a newspaper as important as GALA, which does not even manage to write PADEL correctly.

Here is what they say:

“In a sports complex in Miami, the ex-soccer star tries his hand with friends at  paddle ball , considered a new sport but  which is nothing but a set of beach rackets on a half tennis court . In any case, he is in control, he is focused as if playing the game of his life, and seems to be having a good time. Finally, what more could you ask for from a sport? Especially when it allows to keep the body of a young man of 45 years: it is not tomorrow that we will see David out of service. ”

And finally, icing on the cake, GALA concludes in a comment pasted to the image: “It's like at the beach, but without the seagulls and squealing children ”

No need to point out all the faults of this article which occupies half a page of the newspaper! We could do without this type of advertising because it actually harms the image of our sport when it will most certainly one day become Olympic sport.
