The Annecy basin will live to the rhythm of padel du 26 June at 2 July 2023, thanks to the first edition of the “Greenweez Annecy Padel Tour” organized by the Haute-Savoie Committee in partnership with Tennis Elite, Wilson and the eco-responsible company Greenweez. The four participating clubs are the TC Annecy, TC Pringy, TC Saint Jorioz and TC Seynod.

A feast of padel in sight

The main objective of this event is to bring to life a real celebration of padel to all the inhabitants of the Annecy region. It aims to develop a real community around this sport, to create continuity in the development of the padel in France and to offer a promotion of the discipline through the local clubs of padel. This festive week also aims to bring together the various clubs around a common project and stimulate enthusiasm for this growing sport.

A week of diverse competitions

The competitions of the week, offering tournaments from P100 to P500, will be aimed at various audiences and categories: Ladies, Men and Mixed.

Sunday, June 25 will be devoted to an open day, for amateurs, families and all those who wish to discover the padel. Additional information will be available on the social networks of the participating clubs.

Then, from Monday June 26 to Friday June 30, “night session” tournaments will be organized in each club. These tournaments will be spread over two consecutive evenings with qualifying and final draws. In the event of bad weather, matches may be postponed.

Finally, the closing weekend will see the running of a men's P500 tournament. This event will be held in three stages: a pre-qualifying draw on Saturday morning at two venues, a qualifying draw in the afternoon at two venues and a final draw on Sunday at one venue. In case of rain, covered courts in Annemasse are reserved.

A local partnership

This event is also marked by the partnership with the company Greenweez, specialized in the online sale of organic and eco-responsible products. Based in Saint Jorioz, Greenweez thus strengthens its local roots in sport and demonstrates its desire to become a partner of the padel In France. By joining this amateur competition circuit, the company is helping to democratize this discipline around Lake Annecy.

Entertainment and rewards

The competitions will be surrounded by several activities, such as open days scheduled for Sunday 25 and Wednesday 28 June. A symposium will also be organized on Wednesday June 28 at Annecy Tennis for club leaders and local authorities.

All participants of the P100, P250 and P500 tournaments will receive a t-shirt upon registration. The winners and finalists will receive Greenweez boxes, Wilson products and a few places for the Greenweez Paris Major. The 2 finalist pairs of the P500 will share a prize money of €500.
