“Entering the competition after 3 days of preparation which allowed us to test several pairs and maintain the team's state of mind. The players are in good shape, they feel ready and we couldn't wait to start these championships.

I decided to put Adrien Maigret to rest who has an inflammation of the elbow and who must be spared to be efficient all week.

First match: Vvery easy ictory 6/1 6/1 de Bastien Blanqué and Ben Tison played a very serious game putting a lot of pressure on their opponents from the first games. They play very well together and both complement each other and throw themselves towards the net very quickly.

Second match: Defeat 7/6 7/6 From the first points of the match I felt that Jérémy Scatena did not have good feelings and I quickly understood that the match was not going to be easy! I counted on him to accompany Thomas leygue who played his first decisive match with the France team and in the end things did not go as planned… Scat and Thomas really fought but this lack of confidence was felt in the important points. Especially when they lead 6/5 and 15/40 on the service of the Danes and they lose 3 set points in a row ...

Third game: Victory 7/5 6/3. What a starting point for Jean-Thomas Peyrou who played his first match in EDF! I knew I could count on the experience and serenity of Johan Bergeron who made a very solid match and who was able to raise his level of play at certain key moments of the match. And he always knew how to encourage JT even in difficult times.
As for JT we can not say that he played his best padel but he has proved that he can be counted on in the decisive moments. And in the middle of the 2nd set he managed to relax completely and put a lot more intensity in his strikes. I am very happy for JT who fully lives his passion for this sport and who shows that with a lot of self-sacrifice we achieve great things! ”

“After 3 days of intensive training, here we are in the competition against Finland for a first meeting.

First match: Alix Collombon and Léa Godallier faced a much weaker pair. They were serious, the idea being to string together as many good shots as possible to gain pace by varying the positions of each on the field, especially on the return. Clear victory 6 / 0 6 / 0

Second meeting: against a great Finnish team, two young and very aggressive tennis players facing Mai Vo and Amélie Detriviere who ended up winning 7/6 to the thirdt by saving an anthology match point. A match where it was hot, where the girls alternated between the good and the bad, but they were able to stand together, taking advantage of an exceptional end to the match in May. A great forceps victory which does a lot of good for the group.

Third match: Marianne Vandaele and Charlotte Soubrie had a very solid game won 6 / 3 6 / 0 by being serious from start to finish, setting their own pace.

Nice first day, today we are exempt but all the girls play the Open.
I will follow this closely to prepare as well as possible for tomorrow's important match against Sweden, which have a great team! ”
