After the surprise announcement of Benjamin Tison, it’s someone else’s turn French padel team pillar to end his professional career: Jérémy Scatena.
An emblematic player of French padel, authentic, who leaves no one indifferent, the Niçois looked back on his very old career… Once upon a time: Jérémy Scatena.
8 times French champion!
"I started padel in 2006 thanks to Jean-Noël Grinda and Nalle, who taught me a lot at the start of my career and made me love this sport that would become my life.
At the time, padel was very little developed, and very quickly, I played for the French team from 2008. From 2009, with Robin Haziza, we were French champions every year, with the exception of 2012 (Haziza/Ritz), and this until 2017. We have been vice-European champions in Rome in 2019, a year in which Spain did not participate. Even if nations were not also present in 2015, France was European Champion in the Netherlands in 2015".
A professional career that begins in 2018…
“I started my professional career in 2018 at World Padel Tour from Jaen, which marked the beginning of my adventure. In 2019, I entered the WPT top 100 and in 2022, I finished 67th in the FIP ranking and we won the only bronze medal in French padel.
Padel has brought me incredible emotions. Throughout my career, these emotions and feelings have been my driving force and energy, allowing me to go much further than I ever imagined.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the people who supported and accompanied me, and who, at certain times, believed in me more than I believed in myself. Thanks to my family, to Damien Langlois, to Nalle, to Jean-Noël Grinda, to my coaches Colo Prado, Nicolas Gavino, Xavi Figols and, of course, Pablo Ayma, as well as to Jean-Michel Pequery for the mental part.
Thank you also to all my partners who allowed me to get there: Robin Haziza, Nicolas Suescun, Marc Bernils, Adriá Mercadal, Benjamin Tison, Johan Bergeron and all the others.”
