Jamie Murray, brother of Andy Murray, responded to CNN on the evolution of padel. He notably returned to this possibility of seeing padel at the same level as tennis. Here is his response:

“I think that at a recreational level it is possible, given the number of people who play padel, from what I have seen in Spain, Italy and France, for example.”

“At a professional level, honestly, I don’t know. With tennis, I guess there’s so much tradition, history and things through so many big events – I think it would probably take a long time for padel to reach that.”
