Premier Padel made a remarkable entrance on the international scene last year. From now on, women are expected to join the circuit financed by QSI. And it could be soon!

Women in Doha?

An imminent signature for women with Premier Padel ? That's what suggests our colleague Alberto Bote on Twitter. According to the Spanish journalist, there is even a possibility for women to be part of the first tournament of the season, the Qatar Major, which will take place from February 26 to March 5. This would obviously be very good news for the players.

Discussions that bear fruit

Since December, WPT and Premier Padel initiated a rapprochement. As we told you not long ago, according to Marca, the Spanish historical circuit and Premier Padel would have met before the final of the Master Final of the World Padel Tour with the idea of offering a single calendar in the future. Many questions remain, in particular with regard to the future of women , promising were not included in the 2022 calendar of the new official circuit of the FIP.

A rapprochement hailed by the IPPA

This potential agreement between women and Premier Padel testifies to the ambitions of the circuit chaired by Nasser Al-Khelaifi. Premier Padel wants to impose itself on the international scene and to give more credibility to its rise, women must be part of the boat, as Luigi Carraro always said, the President of the FIP. The rapprochement between the WPT and Premier Padel was hailed by the Professional Women's Players Association (IPPA), a way of showing that they also want to be involved in the project.

For the time being, nothing is signed yet between professional players and the circuit financed by QSI, the next few weeks will therefore be decisive.

A fan of oval football, round ball but also racket sports, he was stung by the padel during his adolescence in Galicia. As comfortable in front of the camera as behind a microphone, Vince will be able to bring his vision and expertise as a fan of the little yellow ball.
