Tomoaki Murasawa is a Japanese padel player. He came to discover the training methods “made in Spain”, he left with an unforgettable memory and a feeling of having grown up.
Japanese padel continues to progress. In 2019 we were already able to meet a player on the WPT circuit. In 2020, there may be more of them taking the plunge.
At StarVie, the idea was to bring a player of the brand to its Madrid facility, the CAR StarVie, so that he could be known, learn from coaches and players.
The experiment, as always with the Japanese, was a success. Tomoaki says it himself: it was more balanced for him to play with girls from the top 30-50 than with players like Nieto or Rubio. He doesn’t have the level yet, he admits. He learns in this StarVie team and receives advice from each other that he will be able to pass on to his compatriots.
What differences did he notice with Japan? The number of coaches available per player and the good atmosphere. At Car StarVie, there is approximately 1 coach for 2-3 players. This almost personalized preparation makes it possible to offer a large number of exercises and special attention based on knowledge of the player's mind.
Another experience for Japanese padel, which is gradually becoming known and making its players known. See you soon on the circuit.
