They impressed us last March with their ardor, their insolent success, but above all with their talent: Leo Augsburger and Tino Libaak are going to team up again, and it starts at the WPT Open 1000 in Malaga.

Different paths from La Rioja

In La Rioja, Tino Libaak and Leo Augsburger caused a sensation by becoming the youngest pair to reach a final of the World Padel Tour. However, after this feat, the two Argentinians decided to take different paths and team up with more experienced players. Tino then decides to unite with his compatriot Miguel Lamperti, while Leo joins forces with Spaniard Javier Rico.

Libaak Lamperti WPT

The adventure was short-lived for Libaak and Lamperti. The results of their association were inconclusive, and a month after the announcement of their union, the two players decided to separate. The 18-year-old Argentinian then chooses to join forces with Marc Quilez (44th WPT).

Leo Augsburger, meanwhile, has 11 tournaments alongside Javi Rico. Both players still reach the quarter-finals of the Marbella Master, but the results are globally not transcendent. In addition, Leo will also come to play the spoilsports on the A1 Padel with Alex Chozas. The two Argentinians win the Monaco Master while stopping the unbeaten streak of numbers 1 Arce and Dal Bianco.

Together for a long time?

Lisandro Borges, CEO of WPT South American tournaments, had announced the bomb on Instagram with the message “They're back”. The information was confirmed by the WPT. From the entry list, we can see that both players will join forces in the Malaga Open.

Due to Lucas Campagnolo's injury, Javier Garrido had announced his participation with Tino for the Andalusian tournament. Finally, the Spaniard will find Javi Rico.

For the moment, the players have not announced anything officially, but they will join forces during the Premier Padel P1 in Mendoza, where they are also listed together. Will it extend beyond Malaga and Mendoza? We imagine so, but nothing is confirmed yet. While waiting to find out more, we can't wait to see the "Argentinian lightning" at work in Malaga !
