Loïc Le Panse is one of the players most invested in the padel in France. Adidas brand ambassador Padel France, Casa Coach Padel and member of the France team in 2017, he nevertheless manages to successfully participate in the main major French events.

Very appreciated off the field, Loïc was called for the internship of padel for a possible invitation to qualifying for the World Championships padel which should take place before the summer holidays.

Focus on Loïc Le Panse.

  • Padel Magazine - The padel, you carry it in your genes.

Loïc Le Panse - In Spain, in Valencia exactly, my mother being Spanish, I played 2 weeks a year until assembling indoors structures in Île-de-France. Now it's easier to play. 🙂

  • Despite your past in the padel, you played a lot of tennis ...

I have indeed been negative at tennis. Tennis has helped me a lot to play well padel. It helps in many aspects, but we had to learn the specifics of the discipline (windows, lob, patience).

  • You see differences in the development of padel ?

Le padel has evolved enormously in Europe, we realized in Estoril (editor's note at the 2017 European Championships). it becomes more modern, more professional.

But we must keep a tactical logic. Tennis players sometimes make the mistake of thinking that it is tennis. But tennis can help but is not everything.

I also believe that we should not compare Spain and France, but we must be inspired by training for example.

  • There are plenty of people for the few remaining places in Team France Padel. How do you see that?

The competition is getting tougher every year, lots of players can claim and that's good for the National team.

More and more players are going to Spain, but I hope that one day we will be able to keep our best players in France. You have to structure yourself for that.

An academy at Casa Padel will soon see the light of day, a training center with a mixture of France / Spain.

  • Some believe that the separation with Maxime Moreau (former partner of Loïc Le Panse) was a mistake, especially when we see competition getting organized. What do you think ?

It's not easy to talk about that, Max is a great guy, we each have our qualities and our faults, you have to know how to accept it.

It had to bounce, I was a little ring when Max told me he wanted to separate. It was not necessarily planned.

We were very competitive, despite the competition.

My point of view is that we should have given ourselves, given our results, a little time. But we should also ask him his point of view, it is he who made this decision.

I hope it will not be fatal for me or for Max.

For my part, I try to be competitive, I free myself up time to train, I work physically every day.

I would also like to thank Fabien Clément the physical coach of Casa Padel and to my brother for the nutritional, physical and transition support program.

  • We think of your old association with Cédric Carité, where things had gone well ...

With Cédric it's different, I made the decision to separate. My idea was to create a team over the medium long term. We finished in a good 3rd place last year during the French championships of padel.

So it was a good way to put a good end to our human and sporting adventure.

Cédric brought me a lot to structure my padel, he's just 10 years too old (laughs)

  • Your favorite shot?

My favorite shots I would say my return window and my smash, I still have to work my defense.

  • In 3 years, we saw that you could change position in the field. Do you prefer a position?

Left or right, it does not matter if in recent days I was happy to play on the left, before having someone fighting, and with whom I get on well and off the pitch.

  • If we call on you for the qualifiers for the world championships padel, you're ready ?

I rush ! I will do everything to be as competitive as possible, I already have my training program in Spain for the next week. I would be ready and I stand ready.

  • For these French championships of padel, who will you play with?

I will play with Laurent Boulade

  • Your blow of mouth

Not a joke, rather a request or a wish.

For the development :

- Many private centers and people are involved in ensuring that the padel continues to develop, we must not forget them 😉

For the athlete:

- More super tie-break: real matches 😉 This regulation may at times prejudice the sport itself, competitions and players.

Our opinion

Loïc is a very dangerous player on the slopes. His past shows that he is also able to play at any position. At ease in attack as in defense, in a team, it's always a plus.

He is a very serious candidate for the France team padel. He was also logically called to the internship of the France team of padel in May.

His professional and sporting involvement in the padel is very important.

His experience in the French team last year was positive and is still a plus in a French team.
