If there are two nations that literally walk around during this competition, they are Spain and Argentina.

In both men and women, the two favorites of the tournament fully assume their status as world leaders and do not slow down. During these qualifying phases, the two nations chained victories and they climbed to first place each time without losing a single set.

La Roja want to keep their title

Grand champion last year in Doha, Spain still has a dream team in Dubai. Counting in its workforce the numbers 1 Juan Lebron and Alejandro Galan but also Paquito Navarro, Alex Ruiz, Arturo Coello, Momo Gonzalez, Mike Yanguas and Javier Garrido, La Roja has all the weapons to keep its trophy.

Our Iberian neighbors are very well armed and as expected, no one could worry them during the group stage. The Uruguayans, Portuguese and British fell under the balls of the Spanish armada with the score of 3/0.

Among the ladies, the same story, three games, three easy wins. The Iberians took place against the United States, Germany and Chile. Led by Alejandra Salazar, Gemma Triay, Ariana Sanchez and Paula Josemaria, the Spanish selection is the big favorite of the competition.

The impressive Spanish team

Argentina… of course!

The great rival of Spain has not been idle either.

Indeed the Albiceleste has chained victories, whether for men or women. Sanyo Gutierrez and his companions spared no one. Three games and three wins with a score of 3/0. Neither Italy, nor Belgium nor Holland succeeded in making them tremble.

Martin Di Nenno more motivated than ever

On the side of the ladies same scenario.

Winners 3/0 against Uruguay, Belgium and Japan, the Argentinian players also achieved a clear round and thus took first place in their pool.

Given the level of play displayed by the two nations and their superiority during its qualifying phases, it is hard to see who could deprive them of new finals!
