While Sweden remains on the floor, the men's team from Great Britain managed to qualify for the World Championships in Dubai, at home in Derby.

The English could not do anything against Portugal in the semi-finals, but they won 2-1 against Germany in the match for the 3e instead.

This meeting had a flavor of revenge, because Germany had beaten the British at the last World Cup.

In Derby, it was the third match that separated the two teams. British No. 1s Medina Murphy and Jones beat Vincent Julich and Daniel Lingen 6-3, 4-6, 6-3.

As for the English, they failed to qualify and let Sweden's Carolina Navarro get their place to go to Dubai.
