This weekend was held the qualifications of the European zone for the World Championship of padel 2022.

Among the ladies, there were no surprises. The two selections that will fly to Dubai are those that were the strongest on paper: Sweden's Carolina Navarro, and Portugal's Sofia Araujo.

In gentlemen, we knew after the draw that only the winner of the match between Portugal and Sweden could play in this 2022 World Cup, and it was the Portuguese who won this cleaver match. The Lusitanians then sped towards qualification, without ever losing a match.

They are joined by the Netherlands, who have not lost a single match either. The third nation to qualify for the men is none other than Great Britain, who dominated Germany in the small final.
