The worldwide craze for padel is such that tracks are springing up almost everywhere, including in incredible places.
We've already told you about it, but here - in a single article - our top 6 of the most unexpected places where it is possible to play. In some cases, you won't be told how much it costs, but passion is priceless.
► A rooftop in Shanghai

In Shanghai, a city of more than 24 million inhabitants, it is possible to play on the roof of the Global Harbor Mall, a giant shopping center of 480 m². Very close to the Global Harbor Towers, two towers 000 meters high, we let ourselves be intoxicated by this urban atmosphere, provided however that we do not have breathing difficulties...

► Very close to paradise, in the Maldives

The advantage in the Maldives is that you don't have to go far to find sand to put on the pitch. The downside is that the rising waters are increasingly threatening this earthly paradise...
In the meantime, welcome to Hurawalhi Maldives and Kudadoo Maldives Private Island, destinations that make us dream and intend to become padel lands.

► In the waters of Stockholm

The Swedish capital Stockholm is built between land and sea. It is therefore not surprising to find floating padel courts in a country that is more passionate than any other for this sport. Not only do these two courts float, but they move throughout the Swedish capital. Thanks to Padel Direct, Rocket Padel and Stockholm Sea Padel for these pictures.

► At the foot of the Dubai towers

The United Arab Emirates hosted the last padel world championships and see this sport develop at full speed. In Dubai, we have just opened two floating grounds at Jumeirah Lake Towers, thanks to a concept from Sweden (see above). Courts are open 6 a.m. to 23 p.m. and can be reserved through the app Playtomic. But beware, there may be more requests than offers...

► In Tignes, altitude 2100 meters!

A few lucky athletes have had the privilege of playing on this ephemeral track, installed in early December 2022 at an altitude of 2100 m, in Tignes-le-Lac. This was happening as part of a Cupra / Sports Stars event, made possible by the Offside Agency, Padel International et DNA Padel Event. At this altitude, the balls must fly, although the cold takes away some liveliness. But it is above all the panorama that takes precedence.

► In one of the most beautiful yachts in the world

This land was born in 2017, but it continues to amaze us. It is inside the Aviva, one of the ten most expensive yachts in the world, built for Joe Lewis, owner of the football club of Tottenham. Often on board this 98 m long ship, the owner is so keen that he cannot do without his favourite sport: after or before football? Why choose: this padel court can also be transformed into a football pitch…

After 40 years of tennis, Jérôme fell into the padel pot in 2018. Since then, he thinks about it every morning while shaving… but never shaves with a pala in hand! A journalist in Alsace, his only ambition is to share his passion with you, whether you speak French, Italian, Spanish or English.
