Faced with the explosion of padel in the country, the Netherlands decided to continue to regulate the discipline. This time, Holland is attacking the establishment of new centers.

La KNLT, the Dutch tennis and tennis association padel, guided by the Dutch Olympic Committee NOC*NSF – responsible for guidelines for the country's sports infrastructure – established that the noise level of a football match padel must not exceed 91dB for newly developed outdoor areas.

Then, both the land designers of padel that club owners had to adapt. But now, leaders will have something else to think about: the location of their center. Now, the clubs will have to be located at least 100 meters from houses. And in some areas, this figure can rise 160 in meters.

This rule is far from being applied in other countries where the padel is already well established. Many clubs are in the centers of cities and such a standard would be very difficult to implement in many places... But for their part, the Netherlands are not afraid and will therefore force leaders to carefully select their terrain. And who knows, maybe they will be imitated...

Indeed, in France, in the Toulouse region, in Bocage lake precisely, the project of installing a club of padel provoked the anger of local residents. The latter are concerned about the noise pollution that the complex could cause, which would be located less than 30 meters from homes.

In this controversy surrounding the construction of this center, the new Dutch law was put on the table by those opposed to the project. We will now see if they will win their case or if France is not yet ready for such a change...
