This Saturday afternoon, the second women's semi-final was held between Gemma Triay / Marta Ortega and Delfina Brea / Beatriz Gonzalez. The champions of the Italy Major intended to return once again to the final in order to sign a second consecutive success. Unfortunately for them, today they came across very fit “superpibas” who left them no chance.

The “superpibas” in action

This start to the match seemed balanced, to say the least, during the first games. The two pairs went blow for blow and did not intend to let go of this 20×10 from Madrid. But, technically flawless, Delfi and Bea pulled out all the stops to take the lead and consolidate their lead in the game (4/2). Solid both in defense and in the net, the Hispano-Argentinian duo managed to impose their game, leaving little chance to their rivals and undermining the service of Martita Ortega (5/2). In just 38 minutes, the Argentine and the Malaga native won the first set 6/2.

Unstoppable and opportunistic

Mentally affected, Marta and Gemma were unable to get back into the match at the start of the second round. Indeed, the Brea / Gonzalez pair seized the opportunity to create a break from the start. With full confidence, Gaby Reca's players, like virtuosos, rolled out their score, thus making their opponents doubt (3/1). Recovered from the blows they took, the ex-number 1 and his partner were able to get their heads out of the water, but it was not enough to impress their executioners of the day who, just as incisive, put more and more foot in the final (5/2). Unstoppable, the two players offered the public who came en masse a real masterclass of padel and are going to join for their first final on the circuit Premier Padel, Ariana Sanchez and Paula Josemaria.

Now it's time for the second men's semi-final, which will pit Arturo Coello / Agustin Tapia against the surprise pair Maxi Sanchez / Lucho Capra.
