It's over for the French in the men's draw of the Premier Padel Madrid P1. Benjamin Tison, the only male representative in the “cuadro”, lost in two sets with his partner Victor Mena against Huete/Gutierrez.

We were hoping for a big fight between two close pairs on paper (Tison and Mena are 61 and 70 respectively in the FIP rankings, Gutierrez and Huete are 51 and 97), but it didn't happen.

Indeed, the Ile-de-France and his partner suffered against a Spanish-Argentine pair who proved to be dominating in the Spanish capital. Benjamin and Victor will have succeeded in thwarting their opponents' plans at the end of the second set, but they lost in two sets: 6/2 7/5. A victory that allows Gutierrez and Huete to qualify for the next round, where Gonzalo Rubio and Alex Arroyo await them.

For Tison/Mena, it's another tournament without a win after the Italy Major which saw them knocked out in the first round by Semmler/Lijo.

On the tricolor side, we are now waiting for the debut tomorrow of the Godallier/Caparros and Collombon/Iglesias pairs.
