Discover the Top 10 players who won the most prize money in 2022.

Our colleagues fromEl4Set had “fun” to calculate the winnings of players on Premier Padel et World Padel Tour this season. As you can imagine, Juan Lebron and Ale Galan, who have won 10 tournaments on the WPT, and 4 on the new official circuit of the FIP, are the big winners of the season.

Behind the numbers 1, we find the other players who have been the most prolific, the World Champion Martin Di Nenno, entering the podium in extremis thanks to his final at the WPT Master Final with Fede Chingotto !

Here is the ranking:

  1. Ale Galan: €350
  2. Juan LeBron: €350
  3. Martin Di Nenno: €208
  4. Paquito Navarro: €205
  5. Fernando Belasteguin: €198
  6. Arthur Coello: €198
  7. Franco Stupaczuk: €178
  8. Pablo Lima: €167
  9. Sanyo Gutierrez: €144
  10. Federico Chingotto: €144

We note that Sanyo Gutiérrez, yet number 3 in the WPT, only appears in ninth position. His teammate Agustin Tapia, also 3rd in the ranking World Padel Tour, is not even in the Top 10. Logical when you know that the most profitable tournaments were those of Premier Padel and that the Argentinians missed several.

The arrival of the new official circuit of the FIP has been good for the finances of the players of padel. Indeed, in comparing with the previous year, we see that the total winnings have been multiplied by more than 3 for the numbers 1!

We should also remember that the prize-money does not represent only a portion of what the players earn. We can therefore say that the stars of the padel world earn their living very comfortably, even if these figures are incomparable with those of sports with global visibility such as tennis, boxing, golf... or certain team sports (football, basketball, American football, baseball...).
