This has been one of the big news of the last few weeks: the new WPT proposal, presented by Alex Corretja in Menorca.

And among the aspects that will be improved by the circuit managed by Setpoint Events, we find the prize-money. Indeed, the WPT plans to distribute nearly 16 million euros next year! A significant increase, but which will depend however, as we said in a previous article, on whether or not the players have signed the contract. Indeed, for a player who has not adhered to the new formula, the prize-money can be divided by more than four! (For more information on this subject, meet here.)

Note also that this is the end of the gender parity. A parity that will have finally lasted a single season…

Men

  • Final Masters: €500
  • BIG: €600
  • Open 300: €300
  • Open 100: €100

Women

  • Final Masters: €500
  • BIG: €300
  • Open 150: €150
  • Open 60: €60
