It was during an interview with the Spanish media Trademarks that Sanyo Gutiérrez returned to the various reasons that led to his separation with his Argentinian colleague, Fernando Belasteguín.

Indeed, the native of San Luis has now decided to share the track with the Andalusian Momo González.

Gutiérrez, one of the legends of the sport, explains about this sudden separation:

“There are several reasons for this. The first is that I need to compete, to play, to feel part of everything. There are two months in which I felt very apart from all this. There was also the decision not to play in Chile or Paraguay, with Bela injured.

I thought a lot and I made the decision to play with another player. I think we're a certain age and between some things about him and some things that may be about me...I think we needed some fresh air, at least I needed it.

I thought about my career and my physique. In 2021, I missed tournaments because Bela was injured, in 2022 others because Tapia couldn't play Premier Padel … and now the same. These are things that are out of my control and I have to find a way to keep competing.”

For "El Mago", everything is clear about his relationship with his former partner: "We realized that we were born to be opponents."
