Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton are, according to the British website The Sun, addicted to padel. A common passion to which the royal couple devotes a good part of their free time, when they are not on official outings.

No wonder when you see how much the padel continues to grow, with more and more followers around the world, including several personalities such as footballers, tennis players (retired or still active) and even singing stars .

Not on the same team

Still according to our colleagues from the Sun, the princely couple would regularly practice this sport in the company of friends. But out of the question for the princess and the prince of Wales to be part of the same team, the spouses would indeed have the habit of confronting each other in order to be more “competitive”.

“I couldn't believe my eyes, it was unreal to see them, but they seemed to be having a great time. William was on one side with a friend, Kate was on the team opposite him with another friend and there was a lot of laughs and taunts, they were fighting for all the points” a source told the British newspaper.

Kate advantaged by her level of tennis

Even if we do not know who, the princess or the prince, manages to take the advantage over the other on the court, there is no doubt that Kate's level in tennis is likely to benefit her.

Former tennis world number 1 Rod Laver had indeed told the Daily Mail in 2020 that Kate Middleton was a “killer on the tennis courts and a true fan of the yellow ball” and that her husband could never beat her.
