FFT Padel Tour 2021, let's go with the first step which will take place at Mas club from July 9 to 11. A great return of tournaments padel P2000, organized by the French Tennis Federation and which are aimed in particular at the elite of padel French. 

You will see that to participate, it is very far from being so simple. Indeed, places are limited and priority to the best pairs and not to the first registered.

How to participate?

To participate, you must first register. Then, it is better to be one of the best French players. Indeed, especially for men, the “cut” to enter the tournament does not generally exceed 500 (cumulative ranking of the two partners).

Clearly, if you are beyond the top 250/300 French, it is complicated to be able to enter the tournament, unless you are with a partner who is much higher ranked than you. We remember the Lyon stage at Esprit Padel which had been surprising in 2019. Indeed, the cut was around 300! Players of the top 150 could not even enter the table ... yes hard hard!

But beware, this cut can vary enormously from one region to another. In addition, the pairs that are not selected for the qualifications are on the waiting list and there are sometimes many packages! This is why hope gives life and that we should not hesitate to try your luck whatever your ranking.

The Mas club will offer a high level!

For this first 2021 event which will take place at the famous Perpignan club, the Mas, we dare not imagine the level we will have. And inevitably, the places will be very expensive.

The region is full of very good players from padel. But it will also be the capital of padel French for a whole weekend July 9,10, 11 and XNUMX. 

The French ladies and gentlemen team will return from the European Championships padel in Marbella. We could well see them make a jump in Perpignan, before a summer break.

With the health crisis, the players are very fresh and they want to resume competition and finally participate in these great events of padel which bring together the elite of padel French.

Why is the stage at the Mas not like the others?

This is the first step of the FFT Padel Tour 2021 and the first major national competition since the Parisian success at the Club des Pyramides last September. The Pyramids event should also be repeated around the same dates this year. Case to follow.

La proximity to Spain and higher than usual prize money could encourage the arrival of some very good pairs from Catalonia.

Indeed, the prize-money is well above the average for P2000 tournaments: each category is endowed with € 3. Certainly enough to see very good Iberian pairs pointing their rackets towards the Mas club.
