Grand final day this Sunday near La Coruña for this first opus of theUltimate Padel Tour. The match of the day was between Sofia Araujo – Virginia Riera (ts1) à Jessica Castello – Claudia Jensen (ts2).

The native of Villena and her partner were able to take the lead from the start of the game. Very solid on all fronts, the Spanish-Argentinian pair knew how to manhandle their rivals to very quickly take the first set (6/1).

The start of the second round had an air of déjà vu between these two recently reformed pairs. Indeed Claudia and Jessica did not give up and continued at the pace of the start of the match (3/1). The two players were in “bulldozer” mode and did no favors to the Argentinian-Portuguese pair during this first part of the second set. But Sofia and Virginia still held on and managed to grab a few additional points, leading us to believe in a possible “comeback” (4/4).

However, this was not enough to overthrow the 2nd seed of this Open.

Jessica Castello and Claudia Jensen win this final 6 / 1 - 6 / 4 and become the first Ultimate champions Padel Tour.
