At the beginning of July, we told you about these two tracks which are always full, built at an altitude of 1800 meters in the resort of Avoriaz, in Savoy.
Were these the highest in France in the summer? In winter, we remember that the French altitude record for an ephemeral padel court is held by the Tignes resort, 2100m away.
Well, in summer, the record has belonged for a few weeks to the resort of Val d'Isère, where a track was built 1850 m above sea level, by the company Slam Court. “The particularity of this ground, explains Yann Halter, from Slam Court, is that it is self-supporting, because it will be dismantled during the winter. There is therefore no need for concrete stringers. For the same reason, we installed plastic tiles to facilitate removal and installation for the customer!”
This promises game sensations different from those we usually know on synthetic turf. There is no doubt that tourists visiting the Isère resort this summer should take full advantage of it, even if the price is also very high (12 € per hour per person).
This padel court will be open until September 3, in an exceptional panorama, which we let you admire below.

Hello Jerome.
The Savoyard and Tignard of adoption that I am comes to the rescue of my neighbors downstream: Val d'Isère is not an Isère resort, but a Savoyard one.
Similarly, the “Haute Savoie” tag is not justified here.
Thank you, all the same, for this article, and I look forward to reading you again!
