For the second time in two weeks, Sergio Alba and Raul Marcos crossed paths with a Franco-Spanish pair, and the Iberians won again.

After dominating Ivan Garcia and Daniel De Castro in the first round (6/4 6/1), Thomas Leygue and Ferran Insa had high hopes avenge Benjamin Tison and Victor Mena in the second round of the WPT Madrid Master. Indeed, at Roland-Garros, the Ile-de-France native and his partner lost at the end of the suspense against the Spanish pair.

But unfortunately for Thomas and Ferran, Alba and Marcos were too tough in the Spanish capital this weekend. Victorious 6/2 6/4, they put an end to the French hopes in the previa of this Madrid Master. Benjamin and Victor can always console themselves by saying that their tormentors lost in the next round: 6/4 4/6 6/2 against Sans/Zapata, seeded 1 in these qualifications.

This Monday afternoon, eight pairs will fight for a ticket in the final table.
