The season has not been all rosy for Tino Libaak and Leo Augsburger, who we met at the beginning of the year, during a tournament in Argentina. Remember, they had marked the history of padel becoming the first WildCards to reach the semi-final, then the final of an Open World Padel Tour. The two young people aged 17 and 18 had blown a wind of revolt against the elders Tello/Navarro and Belluati/Lamperti.

Since, the two young hopes of padel Argentinian couldn't do it anymore. The pair even separated for a time, seeking experience with older players on the circuit. Libaak had played alongside Miguel Lamperti, Augsburger with Javi Rico.

But the mayonnaise did not take and, in July, the two sidekicks announced their return together. Comeback not up to everyone's standards. It was on the German side that the two Argentinians seemed to regain color. They reached the quarter-finals there. But it was in this tournament in Mexico that Tino and Leo made their real comeback.

Two XXL performances, firstly, against Chingotto/Navarro, then in the semi-final, against Stupaczuk/Di Nenno. The two young people end the season as they started it: in the final!

Now, there is still a little way to go for these prodigies. Before them stands the Coello/Tapia mountain. A repeat of the La Rioja final. But with stored experience throughout the season and the maturity acquired, could this be Tino and Leo's real chance? Answer this evening...
