The world's number one World Padel Tour Alejandro Galan recently spoke about his role as president of the players' association, the PPA (Professional Padel Association). The Spaniard mentions in particular the place of the association and of the players today in the padel :

"The association is strong enough that everyone can count on us. It is us, the players, who try to offer the best show and everyone has an interest in counting on us."(Sports world)

The president of the PPA makes it clear that the players have a great responsibility for the proper functioning of the association, in particular him as president: “It's an extra pressure, but someone had to take the lead. What's good is that the players showed great unity from the first moment."(DiaroAS)

At the microphone of Mundo Deportivo, Galan also drops an interesting sentence: “I am proud to have been part of the union that we have succeeded in creating, it is unheard of. It is a gift that the [WPT/FIP] conflict can be resolved. Players will be happy, with the illusion of putting the sport where it deserves to be."

Alejandro Galan clearly puts the decision-makers and promoters of the World Padel Tour aside with regard to the negotiations with the International Federation of Padel. A lot of pressure therefore rests on the shoulders of the Madrid native who is experiencing a tumultuous start to the season between controversy in South America, the one in Chile Open final, injuries and relationships to develop with the FIP while maintaining the support of the players.
