This is the big novelty of calendar Premier Padel 2023, Greenweez Paris Premier Padel Major will take place in September and not in July as was the case in 2022.

As tournament director Arnaud Di Pasquale explains, this follows a desire to take advantage of the start of the school year to be able to welcome more spectators.

« With these new dates at the beginning of September, we want to make this major event of padel one of the key events of the new school year, allowing as many people as possible to come and admire a quality sporting spectacle while enjoying the last fine days and long summer evenings in the superb setting of the Roland-Garros Stadium. »

Indeed, last year the tournament took place during the summer holidays, so we imagine that some Parisians who would have liked to be able to take advantage of the event had already left the capital for the summer. All the locals will normally have returned to Paris, and it could therefore be that the competition, which had hosted 25,000 people last year, do even better in 2023.

Moreover, by organizing the tournament at the end of the summer, we should be able to avoid the heat wave, another significant element. On the other hand, the risk of rain will be greater. The organizers will therefore have to take their precautions.

Finally, the last element not to be overlooked is that the FFT will have much more time this time to communicate about the tournament. What to ensure a record of participation?
