Join the Top 100, this is often a goal for French players when they compete more and more, let's see how to achieve it.

Be assimilated

This is obviously the fastest shortcut to entering the Top 100 of the FFT. But to be able to be assimilated in the first 100, you must either already be a very strong padel in another country, or having been one of the best French ATP tennis players. So unless you are already a first series in tennis, there is definitely an easier way to get into the Top 100 ranking of padel.

Playing good tennis

This is obviously not mandatory, but if we dwell a little on the ranking of padel of the FFT, we see that in the Top 100, the vast majority of players have been at least second in tennis. It is therefore necessary to be aware that a person who does not have a past in racket sports will have more difficulties to be part of the best French, but nothing is impossible!

Progress to padel

This is definitely what you need to focus on in order to get a good ranking as quickly as possible. Take lessons if you can, play often, train physically, make diagonals, abuse tutorials. There are many areas for improvement in padel and it is obvious that the more you improve, the more likely you will be to reach your goal.

Make tournaments

The classification of padel of the French Tennis Federation takes into account your 10 best results during the previous 12 months. In fact, if you take a look at the August 2020 ranking, you will notice that among the top 100, only three players played 10 tournaments or less (Rodolphe Pouliquen, 9 tournaments, 96th; Mathieu Lapouge, 10 tournaments, 88th; Thomas Dalbin, 10 tournaments, 86th).

You will understand that it is almost essential to do a lot of tournaments to gain places. You already gain experience during tournaments, sometimes facing opponents with different styles of play than those you usually play.

And especially, by playing a lot of tournaments you increase your chances of having an easy draw one day, a WO in your part of the table, or just participate in a less demanding tournament that will allow you to fill up on points. We notice in the ranking that some addicts can participate in 30 or 40 tournaments over a year!
