3 weeks before the 2024 French Interclub Championships, which will take place in Padel Horizon, Mario Cordero, in the show “Mario debriefs“, puts his feet in the dish by tackling this Thursday at 20:30 p.m. on Padel MagTV,he current controversy concerning these clubs which present themselves with very international compositions.

Some see it as an opportunity to welcome players from various backgrounds, including Spanish players who help raise the overall level. Others, however, believe that the magic of the French Championships lies in the participation of French players from local clubs, which would be better for the spirit of the competition. Two visions therefore oppose each other.

Should Interclubs be regulated? Should we limit the number of foreigners in a team? Is it necessary to impose the presence of players from the club in teams? Or should we maintain the current situation, opening the Interclubs as much as possible to offer a better quality show?

Are French players therefore sacrificed for the benefit of Spanish players? Can this openness increase the visibility of the sport and increase its popularity?

Is this really a controversy, when we see that other sports do the same?

See you this Thursday at 20:30 p.m. on Padel Mag TV with Mario Cordero for a debate on a subject that promises to remain topical.
