The players of padel the 4Padel Mulhouse were surprised to find in their club a renowned tennis player from the region, Pierre-Hugues Herbert. A reconversion?

It is in the regional newspaper, Alsace, that we learn the news. During a tournament held at the 4Padel Mulhouse this weekend, Pierre Hugues Herbert or P2H for close friends, found himself on the slopes to try the adventure padel.

Today pointing to 70th place in the ATP ranking and a great double specialist with his partner Nicolas Mahut, he seemed almost logical to find P2H in the final. But no, our fellow journalist from Alsace is also a padel, and he was present at 4Padel this week-end. Meeting P2H in the first round, he asserts himself claiming to be “Almost disappointed to have won against the tennis champion”.

Sportingly P2H and his partner and friend, Benoît Bintz, will play the classification matches. The executioner journalist Jérôme Arnoux associated with Emmanuel Rappeneau will go into the final before losing to Yannick Belzung and Ken Groll.

Proof that tennis and padel, although they overlap in some aspects, are two different sports with different tactics. It is interesting that tennis players come to tread the slopes. On the other hand, seeing a champion like P2H fall in the first round shows the evolution and the increase in the level of padel in France.

Thanks to Jérôme Arnoux for his article: Pierre Hugues Herbert “I can't padel in Wittenheim ”
