The tracks of padel, it's pampering! For the good of the players first, but also for the clubs who have every interest in respecting good practices in order to extend the life of their tracks.

The French Tennis Federation advises builders et clubs to have a watchful eye on the upkeep and maintenance of the ski slopes padel.

Regular maintenance is important

The tracks of padel must be maintained on a regular basis.

An annual control visit must be carried out in order to check:

– the condition of the fasteners;

– the condition of the seals;

– the condition of the windows (chips, etc.);

– the condition of the synthetic floor:

  • removal of excess sand;
  • loosening the mat;
  • removal of dust and residues;
  • the supply of sand (new or recycled);
  • brushing the court (in order to get the sand into the lawn);
  • the final addition of sand to ensure “slipperiness”.

What recurrence?

The FFT advises, for example, to distribute the sand (silica) once a week. The interest is above all to avoid accidents for the players and false rebounds. In addition, a good distribution of the silica increases the durability of the carpet.

Check the net tension when you can. With time and player runs that end up in the net, the tension of the net can drop.

The table below summarizes all the maintenance / checks that must be scheduled for a track padel.
