In an interview with Mundo Deportivo, Sanyo Gutierrez talks about the thunderous start to the season for Agustin Tapia and Arturo Coello. Absent since the Rioja Open, the Argentinian was able to observe the Chile Open and the Paraguay Open from afar, both won by the number ones in the Race.

Regarding the controversy that arose in the final in Santiago, Sanyo shows his disagreement with the attitude of Lebrón and Galán: “Personally, I would have shaken hands, I would not have played and I would have left the field […] In four tournaments, they are 5 points behind, which generates nervousness and doubts. It's the first time they've been this far down the line."

The San Luis native, who will likely make his return to the Granada Open alongside Fernando Belasteguin, already knows that going up against the undefeated pair on the World Padel Tour will be a major challenge: “I don't know how we're going to play against these kids. It's not in my genes. They jump higher, go faster, they are stronger, they have better reflexes… they have it all."

The 5th player in the world even delivers a flattering comparison for Tapia / Coello at the end of the interview: “I think it's a duo similar to Bela and Juan Martin (Diaz). No one will be able to match their numbers, but Tapia and Coello are a very similar team. If they keep working together, they can become a major pair of the era."
