Last weekend, the Casanova / Martin pairs for the ladies and Squarta / Ilg for the men emerged victorious in the stage Head Padel open by Work and Padel in Aix-en-Provence. 

Despite dantesque playing conditions, especially on Saturday with a big mistral all day, we attended quality matches, all in a great atmosphere, which made forget the weather at times.

  • THE SQUARTA / ILG PAIR AT THE RENDEZ

For the men, it is therefore Mathieu Squarta and Lorenz Ilg who win the tournament, notably by leaving the seeded n ° 1 in the half (DRAGON / MARTINEZ). They go on in the final against the seeded n ° 2 MARIL BELTRAN / MELARD, who fought well but bowed against the French Riviera. Note an interesting new result for the Spanish MARIL, who had already created a surprise the previous week at the open WinWin Padel Nîmes by winning with the young hope Thomas Leygue against the pair Le Panse / Boulade. A player to watch.

  • NO SURPRISE WITH THE VICTORY OF CASANOVA / MARTIN

On the other hand, there is no surprise for the women with the expected victory of the arch-favorite pair Audrey Casanova / Mélissa Martin. They beat in the final Emilie Guez and Virginie Pironneau, who realize a beautiful tournament, but could not anything in the final against their opponents. Well done to them.

Work & side Padel, no new tournaments planned in the near term, but a P1000 is probably in the pipeline for the end of the summer… Stay tuned.
