The news comes to us fromSpain and more particularly of Ciudad Real. On this Halloween weekend, the police enters the track and paralyzes the tournament that was to take place.

In Spain, the Spanish Federation of Padel offers two types of tournaments ; “federados” tournaments where only FEP licensees can participate, and Open tournaments, open to everyone.

This weekend therefore, in a district of Ciudad Real, the proposed tournament was not a “federado”. Faced with this new complicated health situation and after a high risk estimate from the police, the tournament had to be canceled.

Currently, in Spain and depending on the region, only federados tournaments are allowed because they offer both clubs and players a stricter health framework. The clubs must therefore respect the conditions imposed by the FEP, the players having to sign a declaration on their state of health and of course follow the health protocol with respect and method.
